We have used Mateo's Painting for the past several years for both our exterior and interior painting.  Manuel Mateo is the founder of the company and he is terrific!   We have complete trust in them and they do an excellent job. Whenever you paint, there are always repair jobs to be made too. Mateo Painting can do carpentry work as well. They are superb and very affordable!

He properly prepped the doors and used the appropriate paint so that the paint did not peel from the doors.  Before selecting Mr. Mateo, I received several quotes/recommendations for correcting the door problem. From crazy prices to one painter saying: just remove all your doors and buy new ones. 

So you can imagine my skepticism about what Mateo and his team could do. I am happy to report, the quality of his work was impeccable. This in addition to painting my master bedroom and re-doing all the trim work.  The house is beautiful. I can not wait for him to start the first floor of our home this summer.

Not only did Mateo and his crew beat several other painter's quotes for my interior paint job, they were also extremely accommodating, talented and professional.  My fiance and I were trying to have our newly purchased house painted prior to moving in and they were able to squeeze us into their schedule at the very last minute.  Mateo and his team arrived early and were extremely professional and courteous! Outstanding exterior paint job

Matteo was the fifth bid I received on exterior painting for my home.  From the initial phone contact, he was prompt and professional.  He clearly explained the work involved at each step.  The job was more than first expected because of rot that occurred from improperly sealed areas in the initial construction.  When problems arose, he carefully showed me the damage, explained how it occurred, and what would be needed to repair. 

The crew was very hard working.  Shrubbery was tarped when they painted near it.  Clean-up was thorough.  The crew paid close attention to detail and carefully inspected each other’s work. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a crew that was more hard working than this one.

The estimate was very clearly written.  The final bill reflected the estimate and itemized the additional work.  My neighbors have already hired Matteo and another colleague, after seeing the work, plans to contact him to paint interior rooms of her home. 

The price was a very good value.  While it wasn’t the lowest estimate I received, I found that the two lower estimates were incomplete and thought that may be a strategy to add on to the final price.  The remaining two estimates I received seemed high for the work.

I could not be more pleased with the service and quality of workmanship received from Matteo’s Painting.  My recommendation is without reservation.

Quick, Professional and Thorough!

We were recently looking to put our house up for sale, and after seven years of custom painting, small children and general wear & tear, there was no way we could put it on the market in its current condition.  After  a quick search of online reviews, we found Mateo’s Painting LLC as well as a few other highly recommended painting companies.  After receiving three estimates, we found that Mateo’s was the most affordable for the price.  Mateo was professional, courteous, and gave us a very competitive estimate to paint our entire home interior.  We selected Mateo’s company and scheduled work to begin within a couple of weeks.  Once the work started, Mateo personally supervised a large crew of professional painters who did a great job painting around the intricate molding in our home.  They painted 3 floors of our large home in less than three days, starting promptly at 9 AM each morning and finishing by 6 PM.  They moved and covered furniture, repaired damage to our walls, and caulked.  My wife and I are very happy with the results and would definitely use them again.  Thanks Mateo!!

Mateo's Painting completed their work at my home in 1/2 the time originally estimated.  Manuel Mateo personally supervised the work.  He gave me a very detailed estimate upfront so I knew exactly what to expect.  Afterwards he reviewed the work to be sure it was up to my expectations and made some minor adjustments that I requested.  He was very responsive throughout the whole process and patient with delays that occurred on my end.

The guys just finished (Monday) painting our house and our deck. They work quickly and efficiently and were a pleasure to have around the house. They are professional in every way. Their price was significantly less than the big boy companies but the workmanship was comparable. I couldn't recommend them more highly!

As rare as a unicorn

Hiring professional services is always a crapshoot, and the homeowner usually loses. The contractor is late, the work shoddy, the costs overrun the estimate, etc.  Enter Mateo Painting. From the first call, this firm was professional and delivered as promised. The estimate was quick, the price fair, the schedule met EXACTLY as promised and the work superb.

We couldn't be happier. Mateo repaired and stained our back deck, and they were fabulous. For any future painting needs, we know who to call. You'd be smart to do the same.

Incredible attention to detail

We had our entire house (two story) painted by Mateo Painting in early June.  From the time Mateo met with us and gave us a job cost estimate to the job completion the performance was very professional and extremely meticulous.  The entire outside of the house was pressure-washed, then caulked where appropriate, and finally taped in every "nook and cranny" where required so nothing would be painted that wasn't supposed to be painted.

All of the work was performed meticulously and with great pride. The work was completed on time, on budget, and looks fantastic....there was no "cutting corners".  And finally, cleanup occurred with no paint being where it wasn't supposed to be (i.e on the windows glass, porch concrete, etc)and no job related debris in the yard. We will absolutely use Mateo Painting for all of our future painting needs.

I would highly recommend Mateo's. The service is friendly, professional, reasonable and fast. They painted our exterior deck, as well as our living room and mezzanine area in the space of a couple of days. Their attention to details is superb and we couldn't be happier with the overall result. They do a very professional job. They even installed a ceiling fan on our 18ft high ceiling.

Great job, on time and competitive price

After shopping around and receiving several estimates for an interior/exterior paint job two of the reasons I went with Mateo was that he had a very professional approach to the job at hand and also he provided a very competitive estimate. I was having the interior and exterior of my house repainted and after seeing some other homes Mateo had painted I felt comfortable moving forward with him. His crew arrived each day on time and stayed as late as needed. They were also spot on with the agreed upon time frame for completion. Once finished we had a walk through to make sure my wife and I were satisfied which we were. Overall I highlight recommend using Mateo for any exterior/interior painting.

Mateo's Painting came to my house and pressure washed it, fixed gutters, replaced rotted soffit and fascia boards (as well as some pieces of siding), then repainted all the roof line trim and gutters. They even accommodated my last minute request to paint my front door and a metal window awning (that was a sight for sore eyes). They did all this over the course of a day and a half. The guys worked so hard, and almost nonstop. They were very thorough and I am very pleased with the outcome. Definitely give Mateo a call!

Great job, real pros.

Mateo painted my loft interior and did some minor drywall repair. Mateo was very responsive while I was searching for painters. Even when it took me 3 months after the estimate to start the job, he said he could meet my demand for a quick turnaround. The crew was great, on-time, professional, and courteous. I could not find anything to complain about when the job was done (which took them exactly the amount of time that was estimated by the way). I didn't even mind sharing my small loft with them for a couple of days. I would (and have already) highly recommend these guys!

Awesome Exterior Paint job!

I can't say enough good things about Mateo's Painting.  I'm awfully diligent about finding the best company at the best price, so I vetted 5 companies before hiring Mateo's.  Not only were they super responsive, but they came out immediately to give a quote.  They were almost HALF what other companies were quoting me.  They did an excellent job, and cleaned up well after themselves when done.  Everyone who has seen the job completed has commented on how great it looks and what a difference it made.  Don't hesitate to hire them!

I spent the better part of a week calling painters all around my area. Half of them did not answer, and the other half were too busy to spend more than 1 minute on the phone with me to schedule an appointment to get a quote. The last call I made was to Mateo's Painting. Mateo himself answered and promptly answered my questions. I told him I was in a hurry because I was selling my house. He accommodated my scheduled and came out to work on my house ASAP. His crew was very respectful of all my belongings and cleaned up after themselves. They were very talented and did the job right on the first go. Mateo's Crew are Master Painters

I recently had several quotes to get my house painted in Grant Park. It is a 1920's bungalow and needed a good scraping and some rotten wood/gutter repair. Mateo was always on time and his quote was definitely reasonable for the work they completed. He said it would take 4 days to complete the job, but it was heavily dependent on the weather. He and his crew pressure washed, scraped, sanded, repaired damaged wood, repaired my gutters, caulked, primed and painted in three days and on budget. Mateo uses the highest quality paint and his crew are very efficient and professional. I would recommend him to anyone and will definitely use them again.

I originally contracted with Mateo & crew to paint the exterior of my 1920's house, but that quickly turned into many more interior remodeling projects.  They excel at so much more than painting - sheetrock, custom trim, tiling & glass doors in baths/kitchen, and even completed some small random projects like replacing a window pane and fixed a fence.  I really appreciated how practical they were in dealing with the quirks of my old house to make it look great for a very reasonable price. I was looking for painters to paint the interior of my home. I got several bids, including Mateo's Painting, LLC. They were not the least expensive, but they had very competitive prices. The Best Painter

Mateo & his crew came out and went to work.  They worked hard getting the house ready for painting and then did a great job painting the house.  They did everything they agreed to do in their quote.  They cleaned up every day and tried to accommodate us when ever they could - for example replaced all the high flood lights while up on ladder & pressure washed the sidewalk.

I would highly recommend Mateo's Painting - they did a great job at a great price.  I will definitely use them again.

Good Quality Work & Reasonable Pricing

This is my second time using the services of Mateo and his exceptional crew. Our first experience with Mateo and crew was over 2 years ago when we used them to repair drywall that was damaged by a burst water pipe. Because they did such a great job then, I quickly remembered them and called them in for our latest job of painting the interior of our home that has a 24' foot foyer along with several hallways, bedrooms and bathroom. They were able to repair some settlement cracks in the foyer area that no other past company was able to effectively repair. They also did some general carpentry work in adding some crown moulding that looks exceptional. We are already calling them back to do more work and will be using them in the near future to do some exterior painting work. I know some may have a had a less than stellar experience in getting the initial quote from Mateo which is unfortunate, but I would still strongly encourage you to try Mateo and crew. Sometimes they really get busy but Mateo makes a concerted effort to get back to you as quickly as he can in spite of our microwave mentality of wanting everything we want quickly including myself. In my opinion, Mateo and crew is worth the wait and pricing is reasonable in comparison to the other multiple quotes received. For quality work and a decent price, give Mateo a call to at least keep him as an option if other fall thru.

Amazing job

I've hired a lot of contractors and on larger projects its rare that everything is done on time and at such a high quality. Mateo's crew showed up and did an amazing job on our 3 story house (2 in stories in front, 3 in back). They worked hard and finished the job quickly. Sealed and repaired the trim and soffits, cleaned windows and left work site clean after job was over. Would hire them again if I needed painting. House looks great.

Mateo's Painting did excellent work on an exterior painting job. His crew replaced rotted wood and installed new moldings and trims. With all the repairs, our house looks great!
